Birthdays and surprise party celebrations are a great excuse for a Piper and a sing-along. 

 

One of my favourite jobs is playing at Birthdays whether it’s an 18th, 21st, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90 - they are all very special.

 

The last one I played was for a man of 94 years of age. He thought it was great as I piped the cake to the tune of Happy Birthday.

 

You don’t need to be Scottish or Irish to enjoy the pipes, and it makes a memorable day even better.

 

I am still waiting to play at my first 100th Birthday celebration and am looking forward to it.
